Terms of service
Plain-English summary
- You pay once per assistant. You get a perpetual license to embed that assistant on a site you own or operate.
- You own your knowledge base, your scenarios, your documents, and your visitor relationships. We don't.
- We own the Zupport.chat platform, the embed SDK code, the dashboard, and our branding.
- Don't use Zupport.chat for illegal stuff, abuse, malware, or to power another competing chat product.
- The product is provided as-is. Liability is capped at what you paid.
The rest of this document expands those points in legal-ish language.
1. The license you get
For each assistant you purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to embed that assistant on websites or applications you own or operate. You may reconfigure, rebrand, and update its knowledge as often as you like for as long as the platform exists.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Zupport.chat to:
- Deliver content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of your visitors.
- Harass, deceive, or harm visitors.
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or facilitate fraud.
- Resell or rebrand the embed SDK or dashboard as a competing product.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer protected platform components beyond what's permitted by applicable law.
Violation may result in account termination without refund.
3. Ownership
You own: your knowledge base, scenarios, uploaded documents, crawled site content, branding, and visitor relationships.
We own: the Zupport.chat platform, the dashboard, the model configuration and pipeline, the marketing site, and the embed SDK source code. The embed SDK is distributed from our GitHub repository under its own license — see the repository for details.
4. Payment and refunds
Payment is one-time per assistant, processed by Polar.sh. A 14-day money-back refund is available — see the refund policy for details.
5. Service availability
Because inference runs in your visitors' browsers, the assistant continues working for cached visitors even during platform outages. The dashboard, CDN, and account management depend on our infrastructure and Google Cloud / Firebase availability — we target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
6. Warranty disclaimer
Zupport.chat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. AI-generated answers may be incorrect; you are responsible for reviewing the curated scenarios and source material that the assistant draws from.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to Zupport.chat is limited to the amount you actually paid for the assistant in question.
8. Termination
You may stop using Zupport.chat at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of acceptable use. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in the refund policy.
9. Governing law
TODO: jurisdiction. These terms will be governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email to account holders at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
